Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
Here is my sample project, using some project Management tools.
HOW TO QUIT SMOKING?
1. Milestone and gantt chart - Milestone charts are very popular today, especially for management reporting. A major benefit is that it's easy to communicate a great deal of information in a single presentation slide.
2. A Gantt Chart is a graphical representation used in project management that will show the length of time tasks in the project should take, as measured against real time. This helps the project to run more smoothly because:
- you can easily see the order of tasks.
- you can see project progress in terms of where you are and where you should be, because each task is given a time allotment.
- helps you see any dependencies that may exist between tasks

3. PERT?CPM CHART - A PERT chart is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project. PERT stands for Program Evaluation Review Technique, a methodology developed by the U.S. Navy in the 1950s to manage the Polaris submarine missile program. A similar methodology, the Critical Path Method (CPM) was developed for project management in the private sector at about the same time.
Red bars are critical paths.
4. WBS - A Work Breakdown Structure is a results-oriented family tree that captures all the work of a project in an organized way. It is often portrayed graphically as a hierarchical tree, however, it can also be a tabular list of "element" categories and tasks or the indented task list that appears in your Gantt chart schedule.
5. Costing is a major component of management accounting. Its purpose is to support the processes of planning and controlling, and to provide data for pricing.
